The Rock Golf Club
Whether you’re playing 18 holes of competitive golf at The Rock or a round with your family at Maple Hills Golf Course, you’re taking in the handiwork of VP of Operations Deni Terenzio — and his trusty canine sidekicks, Frankie & Farley.
In his 6th summer with the Clevelands House team, Deni continues to focus on offering the best possible conditions in the area at both of Clevelands House golf courses — The Rock and Maple Hills.
Up the road at The Rock, Deni’s focus has been on the improved course conditions. “Our goal is to offer the best possible conditions in this area,” explains Deni. “It’s not an easy golf course but we are trying to make it a little friendlier. The Rock is a gorgeous property and when people come off the course, they aren’t even worried about what they shot. Every single hole is a new experience. The golf course conditions are solid.”
Deni also takes pride in The Rock’s Audobon Certification “It’s an environmentally sensitive property. We’re continually trying to keep our certification alive and introduce new things like bird boxes and a wildlife inventory.”
Also on The Rock team is Director of Golf Rob Wilson. In his 7th season with The Rock Rob’s passion for the course runs deep. “We love it here and we can’t wait to share it with this season’s golfers”, says Wilson.
Special Rates and Shuttle Service for Clevelands House Guests
The Rock offers a shuttle service for Clevelands House guests who want to leave their car at the resort. Guests are also welcome to come for dinner and drinks, take the shuttle back and leave their car. Clevelands House guests also enjoy reduced rates on golf at The Rock.
The Maple Hills Golf Course
Welcome to Golf 2.0!
Maple Hills has always been a fan favourite but with the introduction of our new Golf 2.0 program the course is suddenly more accessible to beginners and families.
With Golf 2.0, Cleves is making the sport of golf more accessible for youth and beginners. Oversized cups make it easier to aim and putt, speeding up rounds and making golf more enjoyable for those who are new to the sport. The Maple Hills Golf course at Clevelands House will be the home to this new style of golf course breaking down the barriers to the sport and something the entire family will enjoy.
“Maple Hills is a beautiful little golf course,” says Deni. “It’s come a long way and it continues to improve. It’s a course that is well suited for kids, especially now — it’s a fair and friendly golf course.”
Something else we’re excited about this season at Maple Hills is our partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF). The cups and flags will be pink on the course and $5 from each round will be donated to the CBCF.
Here at Clevelands House we are extremely proud of our association with the CBCF and are looking forward to being able to make a difference in the fight against Breast Cancer.
